Cravens Volunteer Fire Department has been a cornerstone of public safety for the Pitkin community and surrounding Acadiana parishes. Our firefighters are not professionals on a payroll — they are farmers, teachers, shop owners, and neighbors who leave their families at a moment's notice when the alarm sounds.
Stationed along Highway 10, we respond to a wide rural and semi-rural jurisdiction where response times can stretch and conditions can shift in an instant. That is why readiness, training, and community partnership are woven into everything we do.
